Celebrating Our Headway Award Nominees – Keith and Joe

Date: 31st October 2025

We are incredibly proud to announce that two members of the Headway Kent community, Keith (volunteer) and Joe (member), were both nominated for the Headway Annual Awards 2025.

Keith was put forward for the Volunteer of the Year Award, recognising his commitment, compassion, and the countless hours he gives to support others. Joe was nominated for the Achiever of the Year Award, celebrating his courage, determination, and progress on his brain injury recovery journey.

Although neither was selected as a national finalist this year, this in no way diminishes their incredible achievements. The very act of being nominated is a cause for real pride — a recognition of their dedication, strength, and the positive impact they both make within the Headway community.

The certificates, accompanied by a letter from Luke Griggs, Chief Executive of Headway – the brain injury association, acknowledged that with so many inspirational stories across the UK, selecting finalists was an incredibly difficult task.

All nominees are deserving of praise and admiration, and it was with great pleasure that Headway Kent presented Keith and Joe with their certificates — a small token of the huge respect and appreciation we hold for them both.

Congratulations, Keith and Joe — we are so proud of you! 💙
