Building Connections Across the Brain Injury Community

Date: 17th June 2026

Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome Beth from Superior Healthcare Group to Headway Kent.

It was a pleasure to learn more about the valuable work that Superior Healthcare carries out in supporting people living with complex health needs, including those affected by acquired and traumatic brain injuries. Superior Healthcare was founded from the lived experience of supporting a family member with a brain injury and continues to provide specialist, nurse-led care and rehabilitation support for people across England.

The visit also gave us a wonderful opportunity to share some exciting developments at Headway, including news of our new counselling service and peer support groups. These initiatives are designed to provide additional emotional and practical support for brain injury survivors and their families, helping people connect, share experiences and build confidence on their recovery journey.

As a brain injury charity, we know how important it is to work collaboratively with organisations across the brain injury sector. Recovery and rehabilitation do not happen in isolation. By building relationships with healthcare providers, rehabilitation specialists, support services and community organisations, we can create stronger pathways of support and ensure that people living with brain injury have access to the information, services and opportunities they need.

Partnership working allows us to learn from one another, share best practice and, most importantly, improve outcomes for the people we all support. We greatly value opportunities like Beth's visit, which help strengthen connections across the brain injury community and highlight the shared commitment we have to helping individuals live fulfilling and independent lives.

And of course, we must mention that Beth arrived bearing cake despite never having met us before! As everyone knows, cake never goes amiss at Headway, and it was very much appreciated by all.

A huge thank you to Beth for taking the time to visit us. We look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring ways we can work together to support people affected by brain injury.
